José Ramírez guitars are constructed from aged woods of the finest quality. Great care has been taken to use no wood before its time.

Woods that are characteristic of generations past: Honduras Cedar, Cameroon Ebony, German Spruce, Cypress, Indian Rosewood, Jacaranda, and Red Cedar which was first used by my father, José Ramírez III when he discovered its immediate sonorous qualities.

I personally supervise the construction process from start to finish, and all of the guitars must receive my final approval to indicate they are of the highest quality.My desire is to practice the time honored tradition of my fathers and build the very best guitar possible.

The Jose Ramirez 125 Años Classical Guitar is an exquisite limited edition that helps this venerable classical guitar maker celebrate a century and a quarter of the Jose Ramirez workshop.

The anniversary guitar features a beautiful, solid Western red cedar top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, cedar neck with Spanish heel, ebony fretboard, and an Indian rosewood bridge. It also has a fan bracing, glossy lacquer finish, and gold-plated tuners with ivoroid buttons. Its features also include a rose inlay in the rosette and on top of the bridge. 650mm scale, and a 52mm nut. Its authentic Spanish tones with a strong bass response come from a legendary maker. These beautiful guitars are made in Spain, and each of these strictly limited run guitars is individually serialized.

Ramirez R1 Nylon String Acoustic Guitar

The R1 is the entry level Ramirez guitar with African mahogany sides and back, solid Canadian red cedar top, and an ebony fingerboard. Also included are gold plated Fustero tuning machines. The sound has a sweet, endearing quality. It also features classic maple purfling in the style of the Ramírez 1A and a modified Ramírez concert guitar headstock. This guitar comes in a HumiCase humidified protective guitar case.

Whether plugged in or played acoustically, the solid Canadian Red Cedar top and 5 fan bracing system give the guitar a full and robust tone, with great sustain and clarity between the bass and treble strings.
