Lessons
Edward Bridge and Kirsti Kaldro have been teaching voice, guitar, and pianolessons in the Park Slope community of Brooklyn, New York for over ten years. Now they have moved to Virginia with two new locations in their store in Christiansburg and their home in Blacksburg (Preston Forest), VA.
Both Edward and Kirsti have classical training and perform as classical musicians, but have also performed many different styles and this gives them versatility as teachers. They both strive to give their students a firm foundation of classical technique, music theory and sight-reading ability, in each student’s chosen style of music.
Edward is a classical and a rock guitarist, and his students become well-rounded musicians. Kirsti sings classical repertoire (she and Edward perform together as a voice & guitar duet), but she focused on jazz and pop during her undergraduate training at Berklee College of Music in Boston, so she is experienced with technical issues that arise in various styles. Many of her students are singing actors and singer/songwriters.
Edward and Kirsti both teach students of all ages.
