Sweet Eddie’s recording studio

Sample Recordings

Sweet Eddie’s recording studio features the latest recording equipment available while supplying an intimate environment in which to record. The space contains three isolation rooms as well as one ensemble room. With track lighting, a private bathroom, and the ever-changing decor (which caters to the individual sound desired by the client), the recording studio supplies a personal feel for anyone coming to lay down some tracks.

Being located in the back of Bridge Kaldro Music, the recording studio is fully stocked with everything needed to create your desired sound. We use Audio-technica microphones (40 series, 4047, 4050, 4051, 4053, ATM250DE, ATM250, ATM350, ATM450, ATM650, ATM710, PRO61, PRO63, and a whole slew of dynamic microphones), and as an Audio-technica dealer, we are fully stocked and prepared for whatever needs may arise. We also have Shure 57 and 58 microphones, as well as Sennheizer 421s. The recording spaces are all connected using thirty-two XLR connections which come into the mixing booth at one panel, making any setup changes a breeze.

A five-piece Gretsch drum set with hardware is setup and mic’d using Audio-technica microphones. This is available for use at no extra charge, and although musicians are allowed to setup their own kit, we encourage time-saving activities such as using in-house equipment whenever available. In addition to the drum set, we offer a Kurweil keyboard, Line6 amps, Laney tube amps, SWR amps, and PerSONUS preamps. There are no additional charges for using this in-house equipment.

Because we are fully stocked in Jackson, Martin, Guild, Gretsch and Hamers guitars, these are available for a minor charge if needed. However, we recommend the use of the performer’s personal guitar as this tends to provide a better recording due to the familiarity and saves time.

All connections come into PerSONUS preamps, which then lead into a Tascam DM-3200 digital mixing board, which outputs into our studio’s Mac with dual processor. The music is recorded and mixed using Logic Pro7. If a Windows interface is preferred, Steinberg Cubase and Reason are available for use.

The cost of recording time ranges from $25-$50 per hour, depending on whether or not you wish to use our engineers. The space is available for rent, and you may bring in as much help as needed in order to keep costs as low as possible. The studio is also available for use as a rehearsal space with access to microphones, PAs, and amps.

The recording environment created is a relaxed atmosphere with several entertainment options surrounding the location so every member of the recording group can stay occupied (our apologies for the lack of a red light district).
